Photographing pets, like two year olds, can be very challanging while at the same time so rewarding. When I can capture an animal that evokes an emotional response in the final image it seems to jump off the page and comes to life. I feel that Kalaig does just that. Her sweet disposition and tenderness her owners, Maryanne and John, described to me seems to come alive here.. don’t you feel it?

Coming on November 5th during Downtown Ocala’s Art Walk Friday, I will be at the Marketplace on Broadway photographing Pets with their People!
10am to 7pm bring your furry friends for a special memory portrait. These mini sessions are 15 minutes long, only $195 and you will get an 8×10 & two wallets or phone image and a facebook image. Other collections are available on session day and a handout given when you prepay your initial collection.
You can upgrade or add poses by adding collections!

This portrait came out so well I decided to create a painting to add to my collection of my new Musees product line. Musees (pronounced mue-za, with a long a) is French for Museum.
Of course Mary, owner of the Marketplace, always has Lily at the store. She is a sweet pooch and a constant companion to Mary.
Mom and daughter both got into the game with their favorite pooches! You can tell how they feel about their furry friends. They are part of the family right?
Children always make a great portrait and when it comes to animals you never know what to expect!
Of course your’s truly had to get in the game. Those two children are my 2nd cousins! It’s the closest I will ever be as an auntie!

This year I am adding mini portrait sessions to the mix of the studio. Now you can have a ‘Tammy’ portrait without the bigger investment. How?? Glad you asked. Sessions are only 30 minutes and for basically one concept or pose, no breakdowns with the family members. Sessions will be back to back at a scenic location like this year at beautiful Lake Kerr. But if you want to add to your session you may in advance. Once we have scheduled a block of time you won’t be able to add unless someone is late! So, there you have it… Mini Portrait Sessions

We had so much fun chasing cats, gathering the dogs and keeping them in place… but we did it. Laurie and her family was so much fun to work with. You never know how something like this will turn out.
Tammy is amazing!! She has been taking photographs of my children for years. This has to have been the biggest challenge with all the “critters”. Friday night was a hit! We managed to raise $1270 for Kimberly’s Cottage through 6 silent auction sales of various types of sessions. A Big Thanks to Cynthia Edgar and Dr. Tina Chandra for their generous donations. All three portrait study paintings sold! This is so exciting and I can’t wait to get started in creating Forever Memories of Art for You!

Only 2 months old and baby Gabriella just wouldn’t go to sleep so we did the next best thing and added little brother James! It was a crazy time and Mom just loves these two images.
