One of the things I have learned in photographing children is expect the unexpected! While I always advise to keep it simple, short and sweet, sometimes breaking the rules work. London is quite a character and photographing him for two different sessions, 5 outfits and six different activities was challenging and fun.

He immersed me into a whirl wind of focused creativity telling a story about his life in his little world at home. I am amazed every time a child walks in front of my camera and gives me the opportunity to capture their true personalities.

This child has graced my studio for 3 years now and his energy and excitement only helps me to create beautiful portraits for his parents. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have creating them.

Couples Celebrate with their Furry Children

Working with Amber and Josh Henderson with their furry children was a lot of fun. They wanted to celebrate with portraiture their life before children with their pets so I went to visit them first to get an idea where and how to incorporate where they live and meet their furry companions. I feel this image will anchor their home with a beautiful emotional story of their lives so far.

To celebrate 3 years of marriage and our journey prior to children, we chose Tammy to capture our family including our ‘furry children’. Tammy created a relaxed session that allowed our dogs to reach their full potential. She was creative with location and set up at our home. The finished product was beautiful! We look forward to continuing our family journey throughout the years with Tammy as our family grows. Thank You Tammy for sharing your gift with us! Angel’s Calendar 2012 Christmas Float

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a great holiday season. I have been recuperating from elbow surgery in the midst of the portrait holiday rush so I have been late getting this post in.
In Ocala, Fl we have an annual Christmas Parade, as do most hometowns, and this year an awesome supporter to my Angels 2012 Calendar project sponsored a float dedicated to the breast cancer survivors. Chris Blair, who’s wife Sangi one of our calendar girls, wanted to support our Angels in a float. He is running for Sherif of Marion County. The float was beautifully decorated with the theme of the Angels Calendar I created with the help of my team from All About You Women’s Boutique and all the great sponsors who helped to create this awesome calendar, like Grafito Graphics and Phillips Printing and our many ad sponsors, to raise money for breast cancer victims. Please pick up a calendar from one of the sponsors and support our efforts.

Santa Test

Well Santa came in last night to help me test our newest project to help raise money for the Humane Society.

It’s called ‘Santa Paws’ and we will be at the Marketplace on Broadway on December 9th from 5:30 to 8:30 photographing your pets with Santa. Children are welcomed and they can even pull on his REAL beard!

Fall Is Here- Finally

The weather is finally perfect for outdoor family photography. The mornings are cool and crisp. The evenings are not so humid. That means a much more fun experience for the whole family.
One of the questions I get about my services is what makes me different than the studio around the corner. Well, my friends, I have dedicated my life to learning the art and science of photography. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in photography and I am a Certified Master Photographer. I have been creating heirlooms for families for 20+ years… and some may say so what?
What that means to you is I really know what I am doing with the light, posing, composition and exposing the image in the camera. I don’t rely on Photoshop to fix any mistakes rather than to enhance what is already there. I take the time to do the assignment right giving my clients the time to be creative and get the expressions they are looking for.
So, don’t settle for less. Make sure your photographer has insurance incase anything goes wrong. Make sure the product you are paying for will last more than 5 years before changing color or fading. Don’t let just anyone create you family memories.
Just like you take care of your home, your car, your hair, you go to a professional who is really educated, certified and can back that up with credentials.
Don’t you want your family photographer to be, reliable, certified, degreed and passionate to create and preserve your family heirlooms to pass down generation to generation?

A Year with Gabriella

At first she could only smile while you held her; then she started to sit up and hold her bottle. Holding her self up now, she is pulling away becoming more independent. Walking, she now can come back to you holding on to your legs, safe… and you know she loves you forever!

As proud parents of our most recent addition, Gabriella Rose, we could not be more pleased with the timeless images that Tammy has created for us. We will cherish these photographs for a lifetime. Thank you, it has been a pleasure to work with you! Michael & Chelsea Calabrese - Ocala, Florida

Looking back at some old images I received from my family of when I was a child and they are faded, torn and just sitting in a box, made me realize that having a few really good portraits created in my life was well worth the investment. Because most of the images will not make it much longer and many are long gone. My mom had my brother’s and my portraits done by a professional photographer during our first 3 years. I still have them and they have stood the test of time. I will cherish them forever!

Don’t let just anyone create your life long memories, trust a true professional Certified Master Photographer. Ask for their credentials just like you would your doctor, lawyer, even hair stylist!!
